My piece about Anna Netrebko has a centrefold in The Independent's arts bit today. Will post a link to the online version as soon as it's available, but you don't get the photos with that.

Isn't "Jewel from the East" a little extreme - after all Anna is from European Russia not Vladivostok! The east conjures up shades of orientalism but St Petersburg is a very European city. Perhaps it was a sub-editor fault!
You're right, I don't do the titles. They're dreamed up in the office, presumably according to available space. Still, St Petersburg remains east of here, about three hours by plane, unless someone shifted it when we weren't looking!
