Beware of titles

Especially those proclaiming the death of this, that or the other. Far as I can tell, in this piece from The Times, Stephen Pollard is actually saying that British music is in better shape now, with the likes of James MacMillan and Thomas Ades on board, than it's been for decades.

James Macmillan has been writing lots of similar pieces in the last few months. It's self serving nonsense. Why, I don't know as there's no conspiracy to suppress his or any other music. But everyone falls for it, esp the Guardian which ought to know better than to spread it even thicker.

Please note, Stephen's piece was in The Times, not The Guardian. Personally I disagree with the rest of the previous comment, too, but naturally it's chacun a son gout.
