Thanks for this great report, which I enjoyed immensely. Having seen scores of Verbier performances over the last few summers (thanks to Medici.tv--what a godsend that is!), I now think actually going there is in order.
The playing of the orchestra alone gives me pause. By any chance did you catch Dutoit's Turangalîla-Symphonie? Marvelous.
