Hello

I'd been planning to regale you all with the musical and Terpsichorean delights of my trip to South America, but I'm still fighting with my computer. I have lost all e-mails from the last three and a half year and my entire address book. I am planning to go out and buy an old-fashioned paper address book in which you write your info by hand and which can be stored safely in a drawer. Still, I need info to put in it.

Therefore, please can I issue an appeal to all my friends & family who are reading this to please, PLEASE email me with all your contact details?!?

Thank you!

Buying an addressbook for back up is a very wise move, Jessica, always remember what the American writer Joseph Campbell said:
"A computer is like an Old Testament god, with a lot of rules and no mercy." ...
Hope all your friends make the effort to email you.

Losing all that information is really horrible, Jessica, sorry!

It's also amazing just how attractive pen & paper become when they're forced to make a swift return to one's life...

which makes me wonder just how dissapointing it may be in 250 year's time when people are celebrating the birth of our generation's Mozart (any guesses?!), to find that s/he only left us disks and CD's of their compositions - it's gotta be a whole lot more satisfying finding a big wad of maunscript paper than a piece of data :)
