PAULINE VIARDOT: ESSENTIAL LISTENING
If you haven't yet sampled the enchanting songs of Pauline Viardot - or even if you have - just try these gems from Cecilia Bartoli, accompanied by Jean-Yves Thibaudet. Nuff said.
Sigh...too gorgeous. I just wish she'd done as Isabel Bayrakdarian did and made a whole CD of 'em. Isabel's are lovely but Cecilia in Viardot is just something else.
